/Text on t-shirt given to Oskar Ling, creative producer at Spiritus Mundi, from a student during the project Botkyrka are you with us?
"I want to say something about miracles and music. Here I’m coming with the Israeli company and as a Palestinian it’s not my first time to meet Israelis. But I want to share with you, and all those hearing, my experience – this special thing that happened in just ten days. And thanks to Spiritus Mundi who let this musical project come alive. Really, this is the first time in my life that I can speak freely with Israelis, I can accept them and I can feel them and accept to love them and feelings for them. This was really a very special thing for me and I felt this through all the days. Also for me, when I look to the eyes I really get the feeling… and really, the Israeli group is amazing. For example, I was touched by the other one, her name is Tal. She’s from the Israeli group. And while we were rehearsing at Palladium, she came to me and she kissed me on my head. I can’t forget this thing. This will stay with me for all my life. When I come back to my country, I really have a different feeling for Israelis now, not like before. It really gives me hope. Because for one moment, before I came to this project, I lost hope in everything, but with this musical project, this really big thing, I felt like there is hope. Through music, through us as people, as youths together. It’s really very interesting and very… it gets me back up and a push to continue to dream."
/Manar Wahhab, participant in Our Songs for Tomorrow, a project where young Palestinian, Israeli and Nordic musicians wrote and performed music together
